Location Address: Macdoel, California 96058 GPS: 41.666797, -121.992408 View on Map Local Directions: From I-5 in Weed, CA travel northwest on US Hwy 97 approx 28 miles to Tennant Road. Turn east on Tennant Road approx 5 miles to Old State Hwy. Turn onto Old State Hwy to the town of Bray. At Bray turn north (left) on Forest Service Road 44N30X cross the Railroad tracks and continue for 2 miles to the campground. Or, from Hwy 97 at Macdoel go south on Old State Hwy approx 15 miles to the town of Bray. At Bray turn north (right) on Forest Service Road 44N30X cross the Railroad tracks and continue for 2 miles to the campground.

I used to live in Dorris, CA in the 70s & 80s and went to Orr Lake a few times as I can remember. The Bass fishing was great, I don't think I caught any trout but they probably planted some by now. If I can remember right, you better have some good mosquito repellant because at that time in the evening and at night they were pretty bad. But hopefully they will take care of the problem.
