Nice staff, not too clean

My husband and I stayed at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games in 2015. There is an extra charge for holidays and special events which is reasonable, but one would think this would be applied to hire more staff to maintain cleanliness. The bathrooms could *really* use work and a good bleaching. The whole time we were there for four nights, I think the bathroom trash was emptied once.

The campground itself is pretty large, with nice trees & a pretty creek running through. But the sites are really small and there is no privacy whatsoever.

We stayed here in a Tent.

The staff here was very friendly. I only stayed for one overnight and was happy with my experience. I was near the creek and enjoyed the sound of water. The spot was spacious and I enjoyed a wonderful campfire. This campground is spread out and there are many different types of spots to choose from.

We stayed here in a Truck Camper.
