| Amazing municipal park – quiet – among the trees and lots of green grass | |
Most recent stay was June August 18, 2019. We camped in a little rig,Tear Drop style RV w/o toilet or shower. We like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities nearby our site so, our critique is focused in that area.
We reserved site 82, a long pull-thru site through Reserve America, an easy process. We had a 30 amp electrical and water hookup. There is a dump station on site at the top of the hill as you exit the park. Campground set up in an oval loop with RV sites on the outside and restroom/shower building in the middle – easy access. Green grass and shade trees were everywhere, an open and airy campground with ample room between sites – no crowding here. Well cared for, grass was cut, trees provided ample shade, paved roadways and site pads. Each site has a nice aluminum picnic table and fire pit. All sites good sized – a very relaxing atmosphere. RV dump station at the top of the hill when exiting is easy to access and use. Restroom/shower building needed some TLC and showed its wear lacking general maintenance. It was clean inside, but it ended there. Would have rated this park a 5 star, but because of the lack of maintenance in the restroom/shower building it gets a 3 star.

This is truly the best park that we stayed in on our latest trip. It has lush green grass and plenty of trees and an Oregon Trail interpretative center. No cable or WiFi but who needs them is such a wonderful place. It is quiet as it is off the freeway a mile or so.

We really enjoyed this Idaho State Park. It has upper and lower levels. The lower level is nice to stay out of the wind but the spots are much closer. The upper section has very large spots with space between your neighbors. Both section have tons of shade trees making for a nice tranquil feeling. The park is very well-maintained. We look forward to returning.
