Which do you take when you go RVing?

Whenever my wife and I head over to a camping trip, one of the things we always debate about is which route do we take, especially on long road trips. My wife prefers taking the long scenic routes while I'd prefer the shortest route possible (mainly because I'm the driver). How about you guys? Do you prefer the long but scenic routes, or the short but less scenic route each time you go camping?

It really depends whether who we're camping with. If it's just me and my wife, we'd prefer taking the more scenic route, even if it's longer. It makes driving a whole less stressful. If we're with some of our friends or family and there are really small kids coming along, we'd always get the shortest possible route. You wouldn't be able to appreciate the scenery anyway while the kids are at the back chanting "are we there yet?"

Definitely I'd go for the scenic route. But then again, I'm not the one driving whenever I go RVing. :)

We go however the GPS suggests, I drive as well as the wife and our daughter, it doesn't matter to us.

If it's just me and my girlfriend, we usually take the scenic route. Managed to discover a few hidden gems doing that. But if we go with my family on our annual camping trip/reunion, it will all depends on the majority. Often it's the shortest route since the kids can get a little bit impatient while on the road.
