My wife and I have been talking recently about going to full-time RVing after we retire. We've grown to love it so much that we eventually decided that this is something that we really don't mind doing for the rest of our lives.
That was, of course, until we heard today that one of our friends (who has been camping full-time) told us that they've recently gone back to doing it just a few times each year. They've gone back to the conventional way of life: have and brick house where they would go home to most of the year and then once in a while take out their camper on a camping trip. The reason was because his wife just recently suffered a stroke, and because of what happened, always being on the move is difficult.
This suddenly made us stop to wonder what happens in the future when our health or our age makes it difficult for us to go camping. Has anyone here already got plans when that time comes? |

It's a sad reality that we need to face eventually. Although we spend most of the year on the road, we still have a stick and brick home that we go home to during the holiday season. That way, when the time comes that either me, my husband, or both of us are not able to enjoy this because of age or health, we already have a backup. |

Yes, I have been already making preparations for that, even though I'd still consider myself pretty young. I have already made a few investments that I can start collecting from after a few years. Like you said, you can never tell. Better to be prepared. Of course, I'd like to really enjoy a whole more years (possibly decades) of camping. |

Yup, we've already made plans with it. No matter how tempting it may be, we never touched our 401K yet. We've also had a few investments. We're keeping it there so that when the time comes that we can't anymore do this kind of lifestyle, we're pretty much covered. |
