To properly answer this question would require a book to cover all the if's and buts. If you want to spend thousands of dollars you can camp for free in a limited number of places. If you want to spend hundreds you can camp for 1/2 price at a larger number of places (some have limits on how many nights) If you want to spend a handfull $50 to $100 you can stay at the parks they recomend you can save 10%. A great deal is homework on your part, there are some great parks out there, the longer you stay the less you are required to spend. I did not do my homework, but listened to friends. Now I own a membership ($6,000) and can only stay in 9 parks in one state. HOMEWORK=HOMEWORK=HOMEWORK You are doing the right thing so far. Look at iRV2.com,RVnet.com and Escapees Club website, also Good Sams. Good Luck Larry |

We use Passport America, it gets you a 50% discount at their parks, which there are roughly, over 1600. There are restrictions, like # of nights, & which nights, some CG's have no restrictions, but if you're flexible enough to work around the restrictions, it's a great deal, you can make the $44 annual dues back on the first stay, we saved $112. with it in Gettysburg, & $96 at a CG in the Black Hills, on the other hand, if you tend to camp in one general area, or only close to home, it may not be worth it to you. |

It depends on what you're after. I'm pretty good with my America passport club membership. My older sister chose the Yogi Bear because of the additional benefits for kids. |
