Renewal Discount Club Rates

I just got a reminder notice to renew my Good Sam's membership in my email and I was shocked! The amount that they are charging me to renew my membership is about $112++. Thing is, I just checked at Camping World and I found out that the membership fee that they are offering to new members for a 2-year membership for a lower rate.

Probably this is just me but shouldn't the renewal rate be cheaper to encourage existing members to stay? I know that they give a lot of incentives for new members, but the difference is just way too big.

I got the same email notice as well. I agree it is quite shocking. I can understand how they are using these tactics to drive new members. But it's still not an excuse to treat existing members this way.

How long was that for? My renewal was $25 (albeit for only one year) $112. better be for something like 5 years.

Got the same email too. Checked with them and they said that the membership was only for a year. They told me also was that the lower introductory rate is to encourage people to try their services. Still am very much confused with the huge charge that they are requiring to renew the membership.

I have had e-mails wanting me to join, is this really a good thing to be in ? I just bought a class c Jayco, and am new to RV'ing want to travel alot, will be living in this thing now, should I join something like this??
