Re: Saving money for dinnerware and utensils
We use Correll and paper plates. We have a set of wicker paper plate holders which makes them much easier to use. I usually am the dish washer and it really isn't that hard if you do it after each meal.

Where were you able to get the wicker plate holders, Lindsay? I've been trying to find some, but for some reason, I've been quite unlucky.

Re: Saving money for dinnerware and utensils
We went to K-Mart and Walmart and picked up some heavy plastic plates, cups and bowls They came as a set of four so we bought two sets. It came to about $20.00 And we did the same for the silverware. They are metal with plastic handles they look like the ones my Grand mother use to have. They were sold as a set for 8. Having the extra is great for when we have friends over to eat and comes in handy to put prepped stuff on to take out to the grill.
We tried Corelle Ware but it seemed that they chipped on the edges after a while.

We also used plastic cups/utensils when we are on a trip but yeah sometimes it also breaks my heart to throw so many trash so I also bought stainless utensils for camp. My suggestion to save some bucks is to also purchase a lock and lock container for your food and not put it on a single-use container. You should also bring the snacks at home just to prevent the kids from buying somewhere..trust me on this.

True.
It helps you keep the whole camping experience sustainable (for you and for others) and actually helps you to save some bucks.
Also, you can often use things you already own for camping. Do you have a small pot or pan? Voila - you have your camping cookware. Some cheap but incredibly sturdy plates we bought for super cheap years ago at Ikea served as our dishware.

Corelle dishes are good but I prefer paper plates and plastic utensils
