Most of my camping is tent camping with the family plus the dog. I started noticing that the primitive sites at some campgrounds are more spacious than their sites with water and electric. However, we're all used to having the ability to charge cell phones, tablets, etc, or run the mini DVD player for a nighttime movie. So I decided to start using my emergency power supply to take care of those needs. It's not too heavy or bulky and sets up easily. The system works great for all of those needs and I switched over to a 12v fluorescent work light instead of a propane lantern. No more globes to replace. Now, we get the larger sites giving us more of a buffer between us and our neighbors (really a benefit with the dog) and the rates are cheaper. If you haven't tried it, you should. It gives you the best of both worlds. |
