Kid-Friendly Campgrounds in PA? |
|
|
My sister will finally be joining my family on their first camping trip on the condition that we don't go out of PA since that is where they are staying. The closer to the Philly area, the better. They don't have a camper or a tent, and she wants a campground where her kids could really enjoy. Thing is, my kids are so used to the rugged style of camping. It's a pretty tall order, but is there any campground that you can suggest that would have a nice compromise? |

Try the Colonial Woods campground in Bucks County. They got a lot of really fun activities that the kids will enjoy. They have cabins for rent there for your sister so it's not too rugged for them. If they wanna try to stay in a trailer, they also got a few there for rent. The RV sites that they have there have full hookups. If you really want to rough it, they have tent campsites too. |

Jellystone Park in Quarry, PA. It's quite expensive, though. But at least, you won't worry about the kids not having a good time here. |

I recommend Colonial Woods too. Really great place. Not as commercial as most other campgrounds. |

That is quite a tall order. I'd probably go with Jellystone for this. Given your experience with camping, it may look more like a theme park than a campground, but at least it won't overwhelm you sister and her family. Besides, I'm sure that the kids will enjoy it no matter how commercial looking it may be.
Good luck! |
