Camper battery charger
Modified By admin on 1/29/2021 7:28:41 AM)
After one quite epic failure, my Xantrax charger gave up and I need to know a good recommended charger. At least 20 amps mountable and knows when to shut off. After reading some sources I decided I'm going with a marine charger for a two bank system. After my experience with converters I think this is the best option.
The only question I have is - what everyone uses for their trailers? Any particular recommendations?

I have a Vector automatic charger that I have used on my last two fifth wheels. Before that I used a cheap century 2/10/50 regular charger. I hook my charger leads to the battery cables at the converter. The charger helps the original equipment charger in the converter to charge the battery(s) a little quicker.
I have done this on 5 RV's (2 fifth wheels, 2 motorhomes and a truck camper) and I have never had any problems.
