Called ahead to see if I could dump tanks. Then drove 25 miles only to be told that the dump fee was $40.00 for my class B.

Beautiful park with large, back-in spaces and numerous pull-through a as well. Restrooms and showers are modern, clean and well-designed. My only small, complaint is that the $38.16 total price for one night is a bit steep. However, I am noted for wanting lower cost parks, so this one was among the higher prices we have paid.

Quiet with mostly well dispursed sites. A few are side by side like buddy sites. Though it is not new, everything is beautifully maintained in a park-like setting. The host is courteous and escorts you to your site. He takes obvious, well-deserved pride in his park. Would absolutely stay here again.

Though you are in the city, the design of this park makes you feel like you are way out in the boonies. There is a bit of noise during high traffic times. The sites have level pads and a large tent area. This small park is an ideal spot for a base camp to explore Jacksonville. We had a lakefront site for $14 with the senior discount. Would stay here again.

We are fans of small campgrounds and this one is worth a look. The listing is dated but here is my take. Campground is dirt, pine needles and gravel. If you read soft parking, beware. The layout of sites is not clear at all. We are here in March and it doesn't look like they have done their spring cleanup yet. Perhaps they will make more sense when they do. Restrooms locked for season. All those are less than store but as the only campers, siting didn't matter and we chose to orient our rig the way we wanted and just enjoy the sight. With a bit of sprucing up, this could be a 4 for us. I don't think a 30 footer would fit and you better be self contained. Rate is $15.

We stayed here in March 2017 in the midst of a cold wave. Our site and several around it have level, concrete pads that are a bit narrow by today's standards but just fine for smaller rigs. Campsites are arranged around the lake and though they are not waterfront, they all have a nice view. Everything is a bit dated but functional. The price is very good. Our water/electric site was $13.91 with senior discount. Would absolutely stay here again.

| Friendly, small and beautiful | The RV campground is about 1/5 mile past the resort/marina, so watch for the sign. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our site was level. Campsites are close but not packed and it was about 50 feet to the rig next door. The lady has suffered some road and pad erosion from heavy rains this winter 2017, but it is supposed to be repaired soon. We enjoyed our stay in a park with only about 15 of the 50 spots filled. Nothing new and shiny here but facilities are clean and well maintained. We would love to spend some time here.

| Comfortable mix of old and new | First trip to this park. Like many Tennessee State Park campgrounds, this one has some newer upgrades (electrical and water hookups, wider level spaces, spacious showers) and some not so new like some with shorter spaces and restrooms could be cleaner. Quiet, friendly park. WiFi is fair. We would stay here again.

We have passed this campground numerous times but this time we were near the end of a tiring day. Check in was easy and we were placed in a level, quiet site #53 as requested. Nearly new electric (20/30A) and water service. No sewer connections in our section (don't know about the riverside area). The dump station was adequate but a bit awkward including sharp turns in and out. No problem for our Class B but long rigs appeared to have a bit of trouble with the traffic pattern.
This is a beautiful park and quite affordable. We'll be back.

| Nice place for an overnight | Call ahead or make a reservation. This is a small park that has some long term residents with only a few transient spots so there is a very real possibility that it will be full. Great view, fish pond, restrooms with showers. This is not a destination park because there is not a lot to do but it is safe, relatively quiet and provides full hookups at every site.

Florida Panhandle Propane | On our recent trip around Florida's "Great Bend" the cold weather and extended camping sent us looking for a place to refill our RVs propane tank. While exchange tanks were pretty easy to find, filling stations were non-existent or the ones listed in various apps and guides were closed or would not answer their phones.
We finally located a relatively new RV storage facility, accessory dealer and propane filling station:

Friendly folks, but many local people will see the hwy 30A address and warn you about the awful road. Not to worry, the worst section of 30A was repaved last year and if you take 30A South from 98, you have two miles of nice new road to get there.
