I went to Hither Hills in early April and we had the place to ourselves. You're allowed to have campfires and the campsite is literally on the ocean. Beautiful.
We stayed here in a Tent.

University of Michigan. Without a doubt. It's one of the biggest stadiums in college football...holds over 100,000 people. I'm jealous of your trip. Have fun!

Hi Charlie,
I have never been to Lake George Camping Resort but I wanted to let you know that I've loaded new pictures to their page, which you can find here. The pictures are a bit dated but they should give you a better sense of what the camping resort is like.
Also, if you click on that link you'll see a "Request More Info" link toward the top right of the page. This link will allow you to ask the resort questions directly!
I hope this helps! Happy camping.
Timothy

Re: New Year's Eve Camping | I bet not! That'd be one chilly party.
If you live in Georgia Red Top Mountain State Park is a good place to go. Get some firewood, good friends, good spirits and just enjoy it.

Re: Holiday Inn is using RV's as rooms | Ohhh I see. Well I checked it out and apparently at this Holiday Inn they were actually using RVs as hotel rooms. So if you checked into the hotel, you might be assigned an RV as your room.

RV dealership wasn't hurt by the recession | According to Camp-Land RV in Burns Harbor, Indiana, "We never had a losing year through all of this", all of this meaning the recession. "And this year is turning out to be one of the better years we've ever had." he said. His sales are up 20 percent. Things may be turning around.

World Championship Punkin Chunkin | The 25th Annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin is running from November 5th - 7th in Delaware - not far from Rehoboth Beach.
Basically the Punkin Chunkin is a competition whereby competitors use slingshots, catapults, trebuchets, and pneumatic air cannons to launch pumpkins. The goal is to launch pumpkins as far as possible.
A pneumatic air cannon named Young Glory III holds the current world record by firing a pumpkin a record 4483.51 feet (1,351 meters) during the annual 2008 competition in Delaware.
There is also a carnival for spectators with amusement rides, food vendors and pumpkin recipes in a cooking contest, as well as RV parking and camping sites.
