Sprawling park ideal for big rigs. I paced the long edge of my corner site, it rang in at 220 feet!
Lots of manicured common areas, great for quiet evening walks.
This park would be rated five stars except for the banner, "American Owned American Operated," which could be offensive to some due to its use in other venues.

| Solid Layover in Need of TLC | A great "springboard" stop for DFW metro-area RVers headed east.
On caveat: the city of Shreveport's section of I-20 is like driving the roads in an undeveloped nation. Surely the worst-maintained, roughest stretch in the entire Interstate highway network. To make it worse, area drivers are consistently mean and impatient. You WILL be cut off, denied lane changes, 80% of the time. Use extreme caution.
One of the easiest entries, once practiced: Simply go south on Diamond Jack's Blvd, select the right lane for the straight/right option, go directly across into the Casino, follow the sign left to the RV park past the self-park area. It's an all-pull-through design, maximum pad length is spare for big rigs, at 70 feet.
Per other reviews, this initally pristine offering now suggests an insufficient maintenance budget and placid management. Litter is a problem, small items have been not dealt with. But, the utilities array is ideally located, good power and water. I've not been able to make the cable TV work the last two visits, and WiFi is okay before dawn and late in the evening.
The last stay, we watched in horror as a garbage truck charged in, driving through the park at 40 mph to noisily service the dumpster. This visit, a tractor trailer rig sped through, using the park as a turnaround for the adjacent self-parking area. Again, pointing to a management problem.
Despite these downsides, we use this park regularly.

This is our prime destination, for this part of the country.
A pristine resort, manicured like palace lawns, with a majority of sites having a view of water either from the front or rear. Most sites have some manner of built-in feature, ranging from a poured pad with table and chairs to full-blown outdoor living/entertaining areas.
The only problem is deciding which party to crash, during an evening stroll around the park. There is literally a happy hour in progress at one of every ten sites on any given warm evening; a worldly rendition of Jimmy Buffet's view of the afterlife.
This is one resort where I don't balk at having to drop my 20' car hauler before being ushered to my site. They make it easy with superb service; a trailer parking alongside their headquarters building with a big apron for the needed nose-swing required for motorhomes during trailer backing.

We arrived in freezing cold weather, and the sole person in the registration building directed us to a spacious pull-through site for which I literally didn't have to place the transmission into drive to reach.
The office gives you the number of a free shuttle bus, it arrives directly at the site you specify when calling within minutes.
Of our "casino triad" ringing the NE quadrant of the DFW metroplex, this is second best, following closely on the heels of Winstar, off I-35 just north of the border.

| Maybe the best KOA there Is | Convenient to both the Interstate and Gaylord Opryland complex, this gem is actually next door to Camping World.
A representative at a podium greets you at registration, the park is spacious and well-maintained, with pavement everywhere. Big rigs will find the abundance of pull-thrus particularly helpful; although don't try to honor the one-way direction when exiting, to avoid dreadful more-than-ninety-degree turns. Upon arrival, a follow-me cart takes you straight to your site.
One of our favorite parks.

| A Suburban Gem near the Capitol | This is the park for anyone wishing to take in the myriad D.C. attractions. There are buses from the sprawling park, which is neatly maintained and full of activities for the whole family.
We stayed both during the summer and again during the famous "bomb cyclone," new-style super blizzard of January 2018 that paralyzed much of the east coast. All utilities were up and running, the office was open and snow was cleared. The facility has a cafe of its own and a surprisingly well-stocked store of RV parts and accessories.
Tidy cabins named after first ladies ring the northern edge of the park.
We paid $81 for a premium pull-through site and stayed two weeks.

| Not welcoming for all RVers | Small park near the highway that might be tight for larger vehicles. Has lots of rules that other campgrounds don't have. Owner prowls a rival review site and berates those who find fault with her park. In the most recent case, when an employee met an arrival displaying a Confederate battle flag on his golf cart, she opined that December campers should simply be grateful that they can find anyone to help them and not complain.
