| Basic base camp for checking out the NP | Very basic base camp for checking out the National Park. Narrow road winds through the campground. Some private areas for tent camping if one can hide behind a large rock. Close to visitor center and info about the park. Campground was almost full when we stopped there in September during the "quiet season."
We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.

| Small campground on water | Nice, small campground on a small reservoir. Dirt road to the campground is steep and narrow in some places and may have logging truck working. Few level RV sites. Clean and well taken care of.
We stayed here in a Truck Camper.

A very popular park. Lots of interesting stuff to see and do. Each season has its unique side. Facilities were well-maintained. Can get a bit crowded especially in winter.

Worth a stop to check out the glyphs. If it has been raining, the dirt road into the site and the campground can be a bit of a mess.

We like this little park. Have stayed here many times in motorcycle tent camping and RV. Although close to the road, it is still quiet. Only a few level camp sites for RVs.

| Nice quiet park close to services | A favorite place for a quick get away from a nearby city. Well-managed and maintained. Although there seems to be heavy usage from the horse people, there is seldom a time that this park is crowded. The horse section is a distance away from the usual campers. RV and tent sites for most of the sites. Clean restrooms and grounds. With the drought the lake is low. 2014 lots of options for hiking around.

Stopped here in May and found a clean, paved park. Nice restroom and showers. Well-done tent sites with elevated tent pads. Camp host was very helpful. Short path to the river. We were in an RV and opted not to use the hookups. Some nice areas to take a hike. If you do not like trains you may not enjoy this campground. Across the river is the train track so one can hear the train traffic. We did not find the train noise to be a problem. Never heard them once we went to sleep. It is easy to miss this campground's turn off. The sign was small and we turned off at the road for the store. There is a private RV park there but no connection to the government one at Hallsted.
