Really a beautiful park. Nobody here on a Saturday night which was a little disconcerting. No hookups but meant for a very quiet experience. Nice paved pads and gravel at the large picnic/tent areas. Lovely, big, old pine trees which offered some much-appreciated shade but still able to pick up some sun for our solar. Lake looks really pretty and the trails are great for hiking.

This is a nice size state park right on the Green Bay side of Door Peninsula. Great proximity to fun shopping, galleries, and restaurants. Nice biking and hiking trails and access to the water so you can get away from the hustle and bustle. Pretty views. A bit of a hassle not having water or sewer hookups, otherwise this would be the kind of place you could stay awhile.

| Lovely little campground. | Enjoyed this little park. Spacious, shaded, pretty campsites. Friendly people. Nice trails that take you out to Lake Michigan overlooks. Close to Milwaukee for more things to do.

| Great campground for lake activities | We camped at Mounds SRA and found the campground to be great for families wanting a lake experience. The sites were very large and would easily accommodate a boat and trailer. Boat ramp was very convenient as was the beach and fishing areas. The sites were grassy and had concrete pads so even though it rained we did not have mud.

Stayed overnight midweek. We were able to get a nice spot on the little canal. Nice size site. Very pretty and clean little park. Realize it may be a different experience on weekends.

| Unique camping experience! | This is one of the most memorable camping adventures we have experienced! The sites were large with concrete pads and included large lighted picnic shelters. We spent our mornings walking a short distance behind our site to enjoy coffee and sunrise sitting on the edge of the canyon. AWESOME! You have to plan ahead as it is a small campground and this unique treasure gets booked well in advance.

Beautifully landscaped sites. Not camping --- GLAMPING! Definitely 5 Star! Helpful staff, paved sites, pet friendly, and each seems to have a view --- ocean, canal, or easy access to pool. Very nicely done property!

We chose this park because we love that most state parks have campgrounds with lovely natural settings. We were visiting family on Marco Island and this location was so convenient. However, this park had terrible camping facilities. The campsites were too small, overcrowded, and had no appeal at all! We had difficulty maneuvering around the park with our trailer and avoiding parked vehicles and darting children on bikes. It was an unsafe situation. I suspect we would have enjoyed some of the hiking if we had time, but the campground left us feeling so uncomfortable, I doubt we will ever return.

We were here in September of 2012 and had a great time. Our site was on the brook with a lovely view. People were all extremely friendly and this was a great location close to lots of activities. It would be excellent for a family coming to ski.

Basically a parking lot but they have full hookups. Friendly people. Very easy access to interstate. Good overnight stop on your way to somewhere else.
