| Very nice if a bit rustic | There are two campgrounds at Rye Patch Reservoir. One is nice and the other not so much unless you are boating. The one just as you go in under the dam is very nice and the only really nice place in that part of the state. I use this as my stop between SLC and the Bay area.

| Good place if a bit pricey. Dogs cost $10 extra | Very nice place but a bit pricey. The description should note that while dogs are welcome they want $10 extra. The sites are spaced nicely apart and among the trees within walking distance from the river.

| Good for river runners but not so much for others, NO DOGS | There is an error in the write up that indicates "pets welcome". The policy as stated in the sign going in is "no dogs, no exception". This needs to be corrected in the description. They cater to people running the American river so I think that it is not appropriate for others. I did not stay there because they would not allow my dog.

| Primitive but very interesting | The camping is just parking lot with vault toilets but the swimming hole really great. Warm, clear water feeds from the bottom of the pool. Good warm showers.

We stay here once or twice per year. The nicest spots are the ones in the rocks without hookups. Spring and fall are very nice.

We stayed here last year and plan to do again this year. Nice, well-spaced spots with good hiking and biking. We are in a self-contained campervan.

They have both full service sites and no service sites. We stayed in a no service site. The place was well run and clean but buggy. This was mid June so it might be better later in the summer.

| not bad for a very large camp | It is larger than usually fits my taste. They have full services if you want it. without a reservation we got nearly the last site at noon.
