| Lovely quiet park with mountain views | We stayed here twice in a motorhome. Our first site was a full hookup overlooking the office and entry area. It was shaded from afternoon sun and very pleasant. Being near the laundry was a plus as we were able to come back to the RV while washing and drying. There are a lot of seasonal people here, but all were very friendly. This park takes Passport America Sunday through Thursday, so it was quite a bargain.
Our second stay, we opted for a site in the meadow higher on the hill. It had electric and water, but no sewer hookup. The fantastic views of the valley, mountains and the sunset made up for lack of full hookup. We also liked that it was much darker here and did not have to deal with lights at night until an inconsiderate TT parked near us with their spotlight on all night!
There's a great restaurant just a couple of miles away called the Burger Den that we highly recommend. Lots of menu choices of homemade food.
Note: Check your route carefully as there are roads around with low bridges. Route 22 is fine.

This was pleasant and relaxing overnight stay. Our site was on the grass facing a large open area, but trees behind us provided nice shade. We used the laundry which was reasonable. Everything was neat and well maintained. The pool looked really nice and some kids seemed to be enjoying it. People were friendly and helpful. We would recommend the place.

You would think this would be a great park as it has a pretty lake and is located at the back and off the beaten path. However, we stayed for 3 nights and were assigned a site that was way too close to neighbors on either side. Our tiny site was mud as we stepped out the door and even the picnic table was in a muddy spot which someone had tried to salvage by placing a piece of warped plywood next to it. There were some nice sites for seasonal people, but most of them were also close together. Since they no longer take Passport America, we payed $43 a night. We were visiting relatives in the area so choices were limited. We had planned to have our relatives come to our campsite for a cookout, but it was not suitable. Would not stay here again. By the way, if you do go, don't follow your GPS directions. Call campground for the best route in.

| Beautiful desert sunsets! | Rockhound SP has sites with electric and water, as well as dry camping. There is a dump station. Sites are spacious with covered picnic shelters. Campground is on a hill, facing west, so there are beautiful desert sunset views and night views of Deming. Campers are allowed to collect rocks within the park. Helpful staff at Visitor Center.
