| Nice Campground with apple orchard | This campground is aptly named Fruita for its apple orchards. We had fun picking apples for free here and snacking on them. It's also a good place to use as a base for exploring Capital Reef. They've got a general store and although the campground doesn't have hookups, it does have a dump station and faucets around the place. The place is clean and the camp hosts friendly and helpful. Lots of room on the sites and the sites have good spaces in between for privacy. They aren't so level, but you won't notice that until you try to level your rig. For a campground in the desert, it's a nice surprise to find sites surrounded by mature shade trees. It's very pleasant here.

| Nice and clean park, but not big on space | This KOA is quite pretty, with its nice views. Staff are very friendly. Bathrooms are all clean and self-contained with their own shower, sink and toilet, which is great. Location is also good because it's just 20 minutes away from Arches NP and Canyonlands. What made me give it only a 3+ rating? The sites are on the small side, so it's difficult to maneuver when you've got a big rig. The roads are also too narrow.

| Decent place with strict management | This CG looks very nice, with well-maintained grounds. The bathrooms and laundry room are clean and pleasant enough. The sites are long enough for big rigs, although you can still expect a tight squeeze. Has cable TV and strong wi-fi. Not much to do around this park, though, but it's got a convenient location south of town. The management is a bit too strict with their rules, but I didn't mind it much.

| Not a Resort but Decent Enough | To call this RV park a resort is misleading as it doesn't have any amenities common in resorts, not even a swimming pool. Worse, there's a cement factory right next door that generates a lot of noise during the day and very early in the morning. On the plus side, the park is clean and well-maintained. It's also close to a number of shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly. Sites are long and spacious even for big rigs. There's cable and the wi-fi is decent.

Campground conveniently located to town. Manager running the place was really nice. Loved the site that they assigned us, which was right on the bay. Would come back.

This campground is mostly okay. The grounds and facilities are clean and well-maintained, including the showers and the laundry room. There are full hookups, and cable and wi-fi both work great. Sites are gravel, and while they're a bit close together, there's a strip of grass separating each site. What I didn't like about our stay here was the lack of staff at hand. The office was only open once in the three days we stayed there. The staff are friendly when they're there, sure, but nothing beats the sense of security one gets when you know there's someone at the management office you can turn to in case something goes wrong. Just my two cents.

| Older park in a convenient location | This park may have seen better days, but it's still nice, with clean grounds and facilities that work just fine. The staff are friendly people as well. The sites have full hookups and they also have cable and Internet. Location is good, close to the casinos and some interesting shops. I love that they have an unfenced area for dogs. I let my pooch run around there to his heart's content. I won't hesitate to stay here again if ever I'm back in the area.

| Lovely vista, tight spaces | This RV park boasts of a very nice view of Queen Mine. The vista is truly lovely, especially when sunset comes. The grounds are neat and clean and the facilities are working as they should. The sites have electric, water and sewer hookups, plus wi-fi and cable TV. The only thing that kind of spoiled our stay here is the lack of privacy among the guests. Couldn't help it; the sites are placed too close together with very little room to move.

Jumbo Rocks is a very beautiful campground. It's rustic and quiet and not so crowded as the other campgrounds in Joshua Tree NP. Be warned, though: this is a total dry camping experience, as there are no hookups, no water and no dump stations. The only amenities in the area are outhouse toilets, but they are very clean. In addition, the sites are a bit on the small side, so large RVs may find it difficult to maneuver here.

Ridgeview has a great location. It's close to Laughlin, the Colorado River and other noteworthy spots, but that's about it. Otherwise, it needs a serious facelift. The facilities are old and outdated. It's dusty and it doesn't have facilities for the handicapped. Sites and grounds are clean, though, and there are full hookup sites. Forget about the Internet; most of the time it just crawls. With some serious renovation, this place could be really nice.
