Basic but Relaxing

This is pretty much a basic campground. Not much amenities could be found here, but whatever amenities that they have are well maintained and clean. Staff here is really friendly. Best time to stay here is during the off peak because it's so quiet.

Best enjoyed in the off-season

As lovely as this state park is, we soon learned that the best time to visit it is right before or right after the summer season. We made the mistake of camping here on a weekend and we didn't get to enjoy the beach because it was so crowded. It's not surprising to find the place filled with litter and the bathrooms dirty because of the crowd. The site we got is adequate for our needs, but that's because we got one of the sites farther from the beach. The beachfront sites are tiny and packed close together. We liked this state park, but we'll try coming back here when it's not summer.
