This is the park for anyone wishing to take in the myriad D.C. attractions. There are buses from the sprawling park, which is neatly maintained and full of activities for the whole family.

We stayed both during the summer and again during the famous "bomb cyclone," new-style super blizzard of January 2018 that paralyzed much of the east coast. All utilities were up and running, the office was open and snow was cleared. The facility has a cafe of its own and a surprisingly well-stocked store of RV parts and accessories.

Tidy cabins named after first ladies ring the northern edge of the park.

We paid $81 for a premium pull-through site and stayed two weeks.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

This is one of the best parks I've ever stayed at. Plenty of things to keep kids of all ages busy while you relax. Only 10 minutes from College Station light rail. If you're touring D.C., this park accommodates well. If you don't want to drive to the train station, they have a bus that picks you up at the park. The park store has just about anything you'll need, but there is a grocery store just 3 minutes away. Nice, clean pools and recreation area that serves light meals. Only downside is you may not see it, but can hear the interstate when its busy.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Stayed here while visiting Washington, DC. Impressed with such a large park that keeps up with maintenance and is able to have a friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable staff. Got lots of helpful info about using the Metro to DC and what to visit. Camping facilities were excellent. Great pool and kid areas for families. Pricey but worth it.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

We found it a bit pricey, and the hookups are a bit strange. Otherwise, the sites are a nice size and you don't feel like you're dropped in the middle of a big field. This is the closest park to DC and the prices are reasonable for the cost of living around this area. We have been here twice, and both times didn't get the best customer service at the front office, hence the three stars. If you don't care about being ignored for 5-10 minutes, I'd consider it four stars.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.

At first we thought the rate for staying in this campground is way too pricey for our taste, but in the end we found that it's worth it. The location is very convenient for sightseeing in DC and Baltimore. Also, the prices at the cafeteria and general store are very reasonable. Full hookups available, with excellent wi-fi and cable TV as well as great mobile reception. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area so if it's your first time to visit, you can just ask them what you need to know. The only negatives we saw are the sites are too close together and are not very level. But the campground has a policy that you can move to a different site if you're not happy with the one you have at no additional cost.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.
