Jekyll Island Campground is located on the Northern end of the island set under a canopy of trees. I stayed the week between Christmas and New Years, and although more crowded than expected, it was not a problem. Most campers were here for the winter and have elaborate RV set ups. And since I was there just after Christmas, most had their RVs decorated with lights, inflatables and Christmas Trees. That was a nice surprise.

Driftwood Beach is a short walk across the main road...as are horse rentals.

The campground staff and hosts were very friendly. The store is stocked with most things you need and may have forgotten. Ice and firewood are available. The bathhouses were very clean and hot water was abundant. They do clean the bathhouses in the mornings, both never did close both at the same time.

I love Jekyll Island and have since I was a kid. The campgorund makes me love it more. I'll be back for sure.

We stayed here in a Popup Trailer.

Nice wooded sites. It was a good feeling to be in between trees and back in nature. The beach is a main drawcard here and I'd recommend hiring a bike and going for a ride. People are very friendly and helpful especially pointing out local things to do and see. We will be coming back
