Bella Terra is one of the few RV resorts we've been to that really deserves to be called a resort. This place is truly magnificent. The sites are large, spacious and level, with full hookups, cable TV and Wi-Fi that all work excellently. The laundry rooms, bathrooms and showers are immaculate. The grounds are lovely and well-maintained. The facilities, including the fitness center and the dog run, are all a pleasure to use. Most of all, the staff are very friendly and know how to take good care of their guests. We truly enjoyed our stay in Bella Terra, so much that we are even considering buying a lot here.

| A parking lot near the airport | I find it strange that this park is named as it is, given that it's just one large parking lot near the Las Vegas airport. The sites are adequately sized and spaced, and they had full hookups. There's also cable TV and you can get wi-fi signal at the office during office hours. It's clean and well-kept, and the staff are friendly. Since it's close to the airport, it's noisy most of the time with planes flying overhead. This place is good for short stops or as a base for sightseeing in Vegas, nothing more.

| Very good destination park | Two Springs Resort is a very nice destination park that really deserves to be called one. The grounds are immaculate and perfectly manicured. The sites are large and roomy, with full hookups available along with internet. The place doesn't have cable TV, though. The amenities and facilities - the swimming pools, the tennis courts, the putting green, among others - are all in excellent condition. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The only thing that makes this resort a little less than perfect is the staff should add a few more activities to their schedule to keep everyone busy.

| Bathrooms need improvement | At first glance, the park looks nice and well-maintained. Nice landscaping with little streams and pools, but they're mostly empty right now. Sites are flat and gravel but a little too close together. Friendly staff who are eager to please. My biggest peeve about this campground, though, is the quality of their bathhouse. Only four stalls and they're unisex. No sinks inside the stalls and toilet paper not provided. Laundry is also located in the bathhouse so privacy is somewhat limited. Also, too many dogs and cats roaming the grounds. No wi-fi and cable is spotty.

| Great campground for family holiday | The grounds are pristine and well-maintained. The same goes for the bathhouse. The pull-through sites face the Guadalupe River and they're all large and widely spaced apart for breathing room and privacy. The wi-fi works well enough. Fishing in the river is excellent and there's tube rentals, too. You can tube along the river and a shuttle will pick you up to take you back for free. Most of all, the staff are all friendly and welcoming. They've made us feel right at home. The only reason I didn't give this a perfect score is because they don't have cable TV and we can't get TV reception with our antenna either. Otherwise, it's a perfect place for a holiday.

Pretty standard RV park. The sites are flat but our site was not very spacious. We had one slide out which was fine in terms of width, but two slide outs would have been tight. The bathrooms are old but clean. It took us a while to work out there were extra showers round the other side. Only downside is the lack of WiFi and no camp store for basics. A short walk down the road there is a hotel with WiFi in the lobby and a store that sells simple groceries which is useful if you pull up late and didn't get the chance to stock up fully. People are friendly and mostly foreign tourists on the way to the gorgeous Yosemite National Park. It was a good place to prep for a longer stint in the park.

| A challenging drive for big rigs | If you've got a big rig, the first thing you should do is to check out the sites before going in. Not all sites can fit big RVs and even those sites that can are challenging to maneuver. The entry road is also a bit steep so better be careful if your engine is weak. The place is clean enough but could use some updating. The sites aren't level and the inner roads are a bit rough. Only electric hookups are available. Having said all these, it's worth returning to this campground because the scenery is just so beautiful.

| Convenient location, if not very scenic | With all the beautiful scenery surrounding it, it's a shame that this campground is located at a spot that doesn't take advantage of the views. Otherwise, it's good and accessible, right next to the highway. While that guarantees some road noise, it does let you get in and out of the campground easily. The sites are level and gravel with full hookups and neat concrete patios. Decent wi-fi but no cable TV. Staff are very friendly. The grounds are clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms are clean too, but the shower area is not secure, with just a curtain separating it from the toilet area. Good for short stops, I gues, but not a place for long holidays.

| Great place to stay and play especially at Hershey Park | We stayed at this campground over Labor Day holiday and it was fantastic. For such a busy period, the staff were super friendly, the restrooms were kept very clean and washed out frequently, and there were loads of activities for kids including a movie screening and campground competitions! One of the best things is staying at the campground entitles you to enter Hershey Park an hour earlier than general admission. Just make sure you remember to bring the Sweet Starter voucher and show at the park entrance to skip the lines. This meant we were first in line for the rollercoas ters and amusement rides! Stayed in shady lane part of the campground and the sites were well kept, each with fire pit. Only thing is that the sites are a little close together and some train noise in the night. Other than that huge swimming pool, well stocked camp store and a great weekend overall!

| Nice campground noisy in spots | Nice campground. My husband and I stayed overnight. It was leading up to Valentine's Day and there was a wonderful party going on! The sites are nice and flat, however they are very close together. we had a good spot near the lake area, which was also close to the wifi. Laundry facilities are very clean and good. Bathrooms were clean. The only issue was the consistent interstate noise. It was a trade off for good wifi, or being at the back of the park with less traffic noise. We chose wifi.

| Re: Drinking Alcohol in the Campground | That's because it is easy to step on smashed glass with bare feet on a beach area. Not fun to do!
I have to say I'm ok with discrete drinking, especially a nice glass of wine with a meal. What miffs me are folks who don't pick up after themselves, leaving broken glass or burnt out cans in the fire rings. [People...what are you thinking? These things do not burn!!!] The the next person who uses the campsite has to clean up before they can start a proper fire.
Please if you want an alcoholic beverage, just remember to clean up and dispose of the bottle or can properly.

| Re: Reducing environmental impact while RVing | Hey thx. Great article! I like how there is a growing awareness of the environment on websites like this. RVers get such a bad name for big lumbering vehicles, but many of us leave less of a carbon footprint than others who fly, or live in big houses with huge heating or cooling needs. I read the other article about Brian the eco RVer. More please!

| Re: Boosting cell phone signal in RV | I had the same problem too and the only way I found to get around it was to get near a window. In the end I just concluded that the roof insulation was too thick for a good signal to get thru, but this seems a little strange to me too as you can get cell phone signals in office blocks that are multi storey high! I'm open to suggestions (and out of curiousity - why?) too.

Thanks - got home safe and sound! We took about 2 days at a slower pace through Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, then drove one long stretch to New York. Had to navigate around the tunnels going past Washington DC and Baltimore, as no vehicles with gas tanks are allowed in them. Thank goodness we had GPS.
Hint for others for Washington DC take that I-95 to I-95/495 then short cut at Exit 2 north on the I-295 where you can connect up with the I-95 again. It shaves a bit of time. As for the Baltimore area, from the I-95 take the I-695 east over the Fancis Scott Bridge (beware - very windy!) and join up with the I-95 north again at exit 33.
Hope this helps others too.

We are on the last leg of our trip and wondering how long it typically takes to drive from Orlando to New York?
We don't want to do it non stop, rather at a more "reasonable" pace, about 5 - 6 hours of driving a day. Not planning to stop off to see things along the way, just want to push on through. Has anyone driven this I-95 route recently? Any idea how many days it could take?
Thanks in advance

| Re: Re: Places to visit in South Carolina | I now see what you mean by not being able to miss this place!!! If it wasn't for the giant fireworks store, or the giant Pedro guy, or the giant Hot Tamales sign this little "town" (?) would be a drive by speck on the map. The drug store and that candy place next door is testimony to everything plastic, high fructose corn syrupy and the only thing we could find that was in its (relatively) natural state was a bottle of water!
Thanks for the tip. Worth the stop (once!) and 10 cent post card.

| Re: TRAVELING TO YELLOWSTONE VIA MT RUSHMORE FROM PA | You must camp in Yellowstone! It is an amazing place. We just did something similar a few years back and was so glad we hooked our bikes to the RV. This allowed us to really explore some of the "hidden" further down the track places in Yellowstone. If your rig can accomodate, I'd recommend doing that too! Have fun.

| Good samaritan pulled us out of the mud | We were heading down to NC, and pulled off I-95 at exit 98. Managed to get ourselves stuck in the mud and rolled down into the side ditch. All I have to say is THANK YOU to Frank. A perfect stranger who saw us slide, turned his van around and offered to help. In doing so, he got stuck too! Again, thank goodness for another stranger (you know who you are) who then came to the rescue.
I guess I post this to say thanks to Frank and also to put it out there to all y'all - we saw so many people drive past and not blink an eye, and we have been those people ourselves too. It has just reminded me of the kindness of perfect strangers.
