| Beautiful, Fun Park! | BrentB Silver December 23, 2013 |
This is a beautiful park with great facilities and lots to do. There is camping, backpacking, hiking, geocaching, swimming, boating, water skiing, scuba diving and fishing. Most campsites have good spacing from neighbors and some shade. There is lots of interesting geology and wildlife. There is a cafe and grocery store, as well as canoe, kayak, and pedal boat rentals. Campsites are in good shape and close to the water. It is a very popular park, so reservations are recommended for weekends and holidays.

this is a place you will return to. The best of the Texas Hill Country. A great family park with nature activities that even the youngest camper can enjoy. there is shallow water for wading and for non-swimmers and rocks to climb over and jump from when it rains, there is a flowing creek with a waterfall. You can hike all day, or swim/fish all day, or a mixture. Campsites have lots of liveoak shade. Lots of wildlife. Not crowded in the fall and winter during the week. Make reservations.

| Constant-Level Inks Lake is a popular park! | |
Inks Lake is one of our 'frequent flyer' parks. Crowded during the summer (ESPECIALLY weekends) and holidays, but the Rangers are constantly on the prowl for too much imbibing or loud behavior. Consequently, things that could get out of hand never do. Great family park! The water is always cool and refreshing. Devil's Waterhole is a busy spot for families to 'hang out' together. Kayaks and canoes for rent along with guided tours of the Lake. 2 fishing piers are lighted at night. Hiking among the rocks and trails is another activity to keep families occupied. Some sites are lakefront; some are shaded. Lots of trees, deer and other wildlife throughout the park.
