Only drove through and then stopped to talk to the owner. Was an old park that is trying to stay alive. Lots of damage due to a storm and they are trying to correct the problems. Only saw 4 or 5 rigs, mostly family and employies, did have one on the water side. Did not get the idea there was much action even in the summer.

This park is only two years old, I was told they invested 4 million and times went down hill so they stopped until things picked up--Right now it looks better than a lot of other parks we stayed in.
Lots are gravel and level, they cut canals through the park and 80% of the sites have water front access,to the main lake.
Great staff that are there for your needs.
Grass everywhere-Very impressive park and plans for the future.
We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Paradise Resort at Silver Creek,WA 6/20/11
Came in byway of ROD, stayed free, normal charge is $33.00 a day
Park is Thousand Trails associate. Thank heaven for my GPS, kind of tough to find.
Park Ranger told us right off that because we were ROD that we would only have electricity and water, no sewer! They had a special section set aside for associates.
The gate lady, who was very nice, said because we were staying for a full week she would treat us like TT members.
Looks a lot like a State park would look, old growth timber, 2 large trees between each site, park must have been designed prior to slides on each side, made due with both slides. Sites are 90% level, graveled. Interior roads are gravel and mud.
Wi FI is only in the adult building, cannot be accessed any where else.
No cable, or satellite TV avail in the area we were assigned due to the trees.
They, TT, are offering the sites for yearly rent, $2,000 a year, or yo

I would imagine in it's day this was a fine little park, but with the advent of slides,wi-fi and major rolling homes, it is totaly unpleasent.
I don't think you could get a large rig, over the 34 foot size we are,
The park seems very old and out of date, we had to set up directly behind the office just to get wi-fi.
It looked like 3/4 of the spaces were permanent residences.
I got the impression the original idea was a great one but as time went by, the city grew up around it and the rigs got bigger, there just wasn't enough space to expand.
Leaving is another matter, jocky back and forth until you get pointed to the exit, then you have to pull out on Johnson Drive which is a very busy street..
I think next time I go to see sis I will drive a little farther and be able to strech out
We stayed here in a 34 foot motor home

This campground is 1/2 parking lot (all concrete) the other half is perm residences, when we were there, there was a great deal of road construction. Park is located next to freeway-I could throw a rock that far, traffic noise 24 hours a day.We stayed for a week.
Better place is Barr Lake Campground on i-76

| One of the better KM Camps | Stayed here three times, Rained all three times, muddy
Nice club house, during the summer they have a lot of planned things to keep busy, and lots of food.
Not much in the local area to do.

Bi-level park. One level lower than ocean front sites. Prone to flooding during high tide. (Not often)
Nice managers, area could stand improvement.
I understood the sewer system is all septic tanks.
Most of the KM Members we talked to said they mainly use this park for the required club week out.

Very rustic camp. No fishing spot at aor near park. Very busy highway seperates camp from river. Almost every site is narrow back-in.
We spent one night and moved on.

| Re: portable air conditioner in RV | I called my RV mech. today to find out how much it would cost to replace one or both of the roof units, the front unit is about useless. I live in Washington state but am planning on a trip through the desert, with some stops. The price was about $750 per unit. We have had a roll around portable unit for a couple of years, one that will vent through a window with a flexable tube. it worked great in the house as long as we did not need to a/c the whole house, only one room at a time. We replaced the home unit with central air (great) We were thinking of using the portable in the RV, like you're suggesting. Never thought of using it in transit with the Gen. running.

| Re: what are the best discount camping clubs ??? | To properly answer this question would require a book to cover all the if's and buts. If you want to spend thousands of dollars you can camp for free in a limited number of places. If you want to spend hundreds you can camp for 1/2 price at a larger number of places (some have limits on how many nights) If you want to spend a handfull $50 to $100 you can stay at the parks they recomend you can save 10%. A great deal is homework on your part, there are some great parks out there, the longer you stay the less you are required to spend. I did not do my homework, but listened to friends. Now I own a membership ($6,000) and can only stay in 9 parks in one state. HOMEWORK=HOMEWORK=HOMEWORK You are doing the right thing so far. Look at iRV2.com,RVnet.com and Escapees Club website, also Good Sams. Good Luck Larry

| Fun People in the Northwest | My DW and I are looking for a fun group of RVers in the far northwest, Washington,Idaho and Oregon. We are currently trying to start an iRV2.com club for this area, but being fulltime retired and due to doctors visits, can't go to far from home right now.

| Re: Transporting firewood | It is against the law to transport firewood from some states to another, because if the spread of bugs that kill trees. If you get caught transporting from Washington to Oregon or Idaho, there is a big fine andp possible jail time. I live in Washington and am sure we burn everything and will only buy wood from the locals.

| Jump Bag ??? Can't find post | Being old SUCKS--Yesterday or day before I saw a post describing a bag that held copies of the important papers like Insurance, drivers lisence,title,registration-basickly any information that if lost in a fire would be devistating. The bag would be kept by the door and if you had to bail out you could grab it and it would provide the info needed. Does anyone know what I am talking about?? Sound like a good idea, but the DW yelled at me about my feet on the dining room table and I lost my place.

| Searching for instructions | I normally don't play games (Drives my DW nuts) but while we were staying at Travel Inn In Elma Wa. We played a card game called Card Bingo. It wasn't the normal game everyone associates with Bingo. The game starts with 3-nickles, 3-dimes, 3-quarters and a dollar bill. Each table consists of 4 players, and a deck of regular Poker style playing cards. One person deals the cards (13 to each player) in normal style. Each player arranges the cards in front of thier area, face up. and puts a coin in the pot. The Caller at the lead table, names the game playing at that time, and this is where I need everyones help!! What are the various 10 games? Like (the men throw away thier spades and the girls discard thier diamonds.) Has anyone played this game or something similar??
