I've seen reviews on other sites about this campground complaining about the bugs, the lack of water and the smelly outhouses, but hey, that's what roughing it is all about. Ponderosa is one of the best of them in my opinion because it's kept clean and it has water spigots for washing up, even if not all of them work. The sites are decently sized, each with its own firepit and table. The campground is right by a stream so you can go to sleep to the sound of running water. It's very nice. And the views - they're indescribably beautiful, especially on the drive up. For that kind of beauty, I'd endure any discomfort for a couple nights of rough camping. It's an experience not worth missing.
