| Clean Convenient Urban Campground | |
Surrounded by a concrete block wall topped with spikes and secured by electric gates, this urban campground is about four blocks from Bourbon Street and about nine blocks from Jackson Square. Its convenience to New Orleans' French Quarter also means that it has the noises associated with an urban setting.
The brick paved full-hookup, back-in campsites are surprisingly spacious. All were spotlessly clean but slightly sloped. Some of the deluxe sites even have screened gazebos. The included cable TV has about 75 analog but no digital channels. Although we had a strong campground Wi-Fi signal, and it worked well for awhile, we ultimately lost our Internet connection and had to use alternative access.
This campground has an attractive unheated swimming pool, a modern coin-op laundry and a fitness center. Upon our arrival, we were met at the security gate and directed to our site by a campground hostess. All campground staff were both courteous and helpful.
As one might expect from its convenient proximity to the French Quarter, the nightly rates are high. Those rates appear to succeed in keeping out long-term campers and older, shabby-looking RVs. Late at night, campers are advised to use a taxi from the French Quarter to avoid walking back to the campground through some dark, unsupervised streets and parking lots. We would stay here again during our next New Orleans visit.

This is a super place to park for a visit to New Orleans. The location is very close to the French Quarter and all to see in New Orleans. We have stayed her 2 times and will be back in the future. The staff and the facilities are GREAT!

The park is located very convenient to downtown. Sites are big and wide. Security gate has been broken for months though and, thus, we did not feel safe in that area of town with their crime rate situation. Pool and facilities are above average.

| worth the money to stay in the french quarter | |
Nice sites (all back-in) very clean, modern and new looking resort. Five minute walk to bourbon street. Only complaint is that it was over 100 degrees with no shade. We would certainly come back!

fairly easy walk to french quarter, but dicey one block. Paying for location. Pool is good afternoon break from heat.
