An old KOA campground. It's a large resort with a lot of different amenities including laundry, pool and playground. The amenities are in good condition.
We had site 67 which was unfortunate as it's right next to the dog walk area with no privacy. As the resort was full, every minute a dog owner would bring their dog to do it's business.
Nothing special about this campground, but it's fine for visiting Austin, just make sure you don't have a site next to the dog walk.

Plus first: 1) good location, close to popular Austin sights; 2) friendly and helpful staff; 3) great breakfast served on weekends. Now for the minuses. The park really needs better maintenance. The roads are rough and narrow, and the sites are too close together. The site we had was shady, but had no patio to speak of. Fire ants on the picnic table, and the picnic table itself looked unsafe for use. It's also pricier than many of the resort RV parks we've stayed at before. We won't stay here again unless we don't have a choice.

| Not so much a resort really but it's okay. It is shady and very pet friendly. A warning about the traffic along the interstate is, stay off and away from about three to seven on week days, there is heavy congestion, I found it better to just wait it out in the pool at Lone Star. | | | | Comments (0) |
