Not for big rigs

We had trouble getting in and out of our site. The sites and the roads are too narrow for big rigs. The shade over our site was nice, though. The bathroom could use some updates too. On the bright side, the wi-fi was fast and the pool was lovely. There was some road noise, but that's to be expected, given how close this park is to the highway.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.

As close to luxury as you can get

Blazing Star does come pretty close to being a true luxury resort. The grounds are well-manicured and the sites are all level and paved. There's also some landscaping in between sites to create a sense of privacy. The sites are also big and long enough to accommodate towed rigs and there are full hookups available as well as wi-fi and cable. Wi-fi isn't free, but you can avail of packages if you're a heavy Internet user. The bathrooms are also very clean. and well-maintained. Blazing Star is a good base for visiting sights like SeaWorld and River Walk, but if you don't feel like sightseeing, there's a lot of things to do in resort. They've got a game room, a playground, a field that serves as a dog park, horseshoes and a basketball court. Lastly, the people there, from the staff to our neighbors, were all very nice and friendly. It's worth coming here.

We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome.

Absolute luxury

You want luxury? Blazing Star fits the bill. Lots of shade, concrete pads, paved roads, top-notch clubhouse, beautiful pool...and more. The park hosts go out of their way to ensure you are a satisfied customer. Yeah, you pay for these amenities, but if comfort is what you're looking for, it's worth it. The park is close to other venues, and even though it's situated on a busy road, it is very peaceful. Our next visit to San Antonio will find us at Blazing Star.
