This campground was my first stop on a long solo trek from Raleigh, NC to Mesa, AZ beginning November 30, 2015, driving a 35-foot motorhome with a camping trailer in tow. Although my plans were to leave Raleigh early enough to arrive in Dickson before sunset, some service work on my coach forced me to leave much later. Then I encountered downpours and heavy fog on my I-40 route which delayed me further.
When I called the campground to let them know that I would be arriving late, Richard, the owner could not have more courteous and understanding. He assured me that he would be available when I arrived even though it would be nearly 11:30 pm. This campground is exceptionally convenient to I-40 but far enough away for a quiet night's sleep.
When I arrived at the campground, I called again. The owner promptly answered despite my late arrival and then met and escorted me to one of his spacious, full-hookup pull-through sites. Although the weather was still chilly and raining, after checking me in the owner even offered to help me with my hookups.
Though this is an older, not very fancy campground, my pull-through site was level and accessible even with the trailer in tow. All of the hookups worked as expected and the owner went the extra mile to make sure I was welcomed and comfortably accommodated before retiring for the night. It's rare that I find such five-star service even at fancy, expensive motorhome resorts.
We stayed here in a Class A Motorhome. | | Comments (0) |

| Nice small campground, great for overnight stop | |
Small campground near I-40. We had site B2 near the office, a flat, gravel, pull-thru full-hookup site. The services worked well, including WiFi, and the price was great at only $14 with Passport America.
Campground is surrounded by woods and a farm so it feels rural, yet only two mins to the Interstate, two gas stations and McDonalds.
Bathroom and laundry facilities were dated but clean. Owner Richard was very welcoming. Campground has a mixture of full timers and overnighters, everyone was friendly.
I would recommend staying here as an overnight stop.
