| Great location, but poorly run. | |
This campground has potential, but needs work. The bathroom is poorly built and filthy. Spent 3 nights and after a full weekend, I never saw anyone clean the restroom. The campground has multiple holes in the ground and water hookups are 6 - 9 inches below grade, often submerged in water.

Peaceful is the best word to describe this campground. It's a great place to get away from it all if your daily life is stressing you out. It's right by New River, and you can go canoeing, tubing or kayaking here. Though the place is rustic, the amenities are not. Loved having hot showers in their spotless bathrooms when I need to. Full hookups are available, and while they don't have cable TV, they've got pretty decent wi-fi. The staff makes this campground really homey. They're very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help out when you need them to.

Great place to camp. I had a wonderful shaded site along the river and could watch the canoes and kayaks and tubes float by, as well as huge flocks of Canadian geese. Friendly folks and nice atmosphere. Enjoyed being there immensely.
