Useful little park for an overnight stay, not really a destination stop. Really friendly people and clean facilities. A few things to note - it is right off a main road so there is road noise so best to ask for the spots at the back of the park. There is only one washer and dryer so ok for a bit of laundry but not large loads. Upside is good wifi connection and location which is near the state park and other worthy sights. Cheap overnight place to stay.

| Good RV park for the area | Fairly decent RV park for the Mammoth Cave area. It is inside the national park and a short drive to the visitors center. The sites are generous and you can fit a car behind the motorhome easily. Didn't use the facilities so I can't comment on them. There was mini golf and other activities which looked well maintained. Biggest gripe is that there is no wifi from the sites, only from the rec room. Would stay again.

| Beautiful river front site | Love Yosemite and waking up in the mornings in the midst of all this beauty. We had a great site by the river. A little trick to line up the RV but well worth the effort. Amazing place for campfires and outdoors fun. Facilities are pretty standard and what you would expect for a National park.

| Campground with a view and nice pool and hot tub. | Nice campground, flat sites. There is a lovely view over the lake however you need to pay for the premium site to get that view and it is mostly occupied by seasonals. We had a corner site to the right of the park and that was a generous spot for an RV and car. Laundry is good. Pool is heated and nice with hot tub. Only gripe is that wifi is useless.

| Big, pull-thru, flat sites | Good functional sites. We only stayed one night and was in the big open area which is fine if you are passing through, but not much ambiance if you are staying longer. People who were camping were nice and friendly but managers less so. Didn't use any of the facilities so cannot comment. There seemed to be a permanent section at the back of the park.

Enjoyed our stay at Indian Rivers. The sites are nice and flat. Many are wooded so there is a lot of privacy and shade. We had a waterfront site which had beautiful sunsets. It is worth paying the extra three dollars to secure one of those sites. The bathrooms are okay, but old. Fine if you have your own facilities in your RV. No wifi at the sites, only at the office area. If that had good wifi I would rate a strong 4 star because the river views are so beautiful. That being said, if you like wooded camping and getting away from it all this would be a nice 4 or 5 star place for you.

| Great campground with fabulous views | Great campground. Very well maintained. Sites for RVs are nice and flat on packed gravel. Tent sites are shady. There are several sections to accommodate all types of rigs and levels of privacy. Impressed with extensive dog walk areas, through woods etc. Playground is great for kids. Nice and new and well kept. Lovely views of the ocean. Lots of washers and dryers in the laundry. Bathrooms are nice and clean. People are friendly. Only gripe is that the campground wifi is very slow and at times does not work. It would be a firm 5 stars if they got that working well.

Looks like mainly full-timers and permanent sites. We stayed only for a night. The people at the office were very friendly and helpful. The wi-fi didn't work from the pull-through site and there was traffic noise from the road. Sites are very close together but reasonably kept. There are better places in the area so I wouldn't stay again.

| Amazing find - campground with farm and river frontage | Beautiful campground with horses, farm animals and a beautiful river that surrounds it. Idyllic. The sites are huge and generous so you're not staring into each other's RV. Fantastic for kids with huge playground area. Facilities are well kept. People are super friendly. Wifi is strong only near the office but fades around the full hookup sites. It really is a relaxing place. Friendly people. We would stay again.

| Nice campground with ok sites | Ours was a little uneven, but nothing too crazy. Sites are a little close to each other but the trees gave a bit of privacy. The big common grassy area which has a play ground is great for kids. Nice people. We would stay again if in the area.

Sounds like a tear drop camper. They are small trailers, oval sort of like a side on teardrop? They are super cute!

Black water gauge not working properly | We have a class c forest river Forrester. The black water tank gauge seems to be stuck. It reads full even when we have just emptied. Any suggestions? I suspect buildup. What's worked for others?

Re: Tip for cooking indoors without DYING from the heat! | Great idea Leah! Thanks for sharing. I've also struggled with the heat over summer. The worst part is setting off the smoke alarm in the RV. I've also started to grill and cook outside. Moving the picnic table under the RV awning gives it some shade and it is so nice to be able to enjoy the outdoors whilst cooking. Would love to hear about some of your favorite easy Cajun recipes.

Re: Mount Rushmore & Badlands | I guess cold depends on where you are from! For me it was a little chilly. There can be some frost, depending on the weather patterns. That being said it is well worth a visit. There are tons of great campgrounds near the badlands, and doing a search around Rapid City, SD should find you a whole load. I would check that they are open as some (not all) campgrounds will shut up at the end of September or mid October. Some are year round. I'd use the search on this website to find out the details. I've found it is pretty accurate. Have fun and look out for the prairie dogs.

Re: Drinking Alcohol in the Campground | That's because it is easy to step on smashed glass with bare feet on a beach area. Not fun to do!
I have to say I'm ok with discrete drinking, especially a nice glass of wine with a meal. What miffs me are folks who don't pick up after themselves, leaving broken glass or burnt out cans in the fire rings. [People...what are you thinking? These things do not burn!!!] The the next person who uses the campsite has to clean up before they can start a proper fire.
Please if you want an alcoholic beverage, just remember to clean up and dispose of the bottle or can properly.

Re: Reducing environmental impact while RVing | Hey thx. Great article! I like how there is a growing awareness of the environment on websites like this. RVers get such a bad name for big lumbering vehicles, but many of us leave less of a carbon footprint than others who fly, or live in big houses with huge heating or cooling needs. I read the other article about Brian the eco RVer. More please!
