| Narrow Sites But Pretty Location | |
A pretty location. We had a waterfront full hookup site #10 that is by the creek. It was a flat grass site and the site services worked well and WiFi was ok. However, the sites are very narrow with little privacy between them. They also don't allow campfires on the narrow sites. You need to pay for a more expensive wider site if you want that. The small laundry, restrooms and pool were clean and well maintained. They also had a nice recreation hall.
The tent area is huge and by the main Guadalupe river. There is also a big riverfront hiking trail to enjoy.
Close to Kerrville and stores like Walmart.

| Very quiet park right by the Guadalupe River | |
By the River is an excellent park to stay in if you're looking for a quiet place to crash for the night after a day of touring the sights nearby. It's very peaceful here, with hardly any road noise. It's also right by the Guadalupe River, and the views are really pretty. As for the amenities and the facilities, they're all clean and kept in good order. I just didn't like having to climb up a hill to get to the office, the washrooms and the laundry. The pool is also located there, so it's a bit of a hassle. In addition, unless you have a premium site, you may have to squeeze your rig into a narrow spot. Otherwise, we had a pleasant enough stay and we may return.
