Nice Park Near Downtown Tucson

I agree with the earlier email that at first glance you might get put off by this park. It is a big gravel campground with no shade. However, it is clean, well run park with all the facilities that you need. It has a laundry, hot showers, swimming pool and a recreation room with library.

The sites are long and wide and the site services worked well including the WiFi. It is in a good location to explore Tucson and the surrounding area. In the Winter, it is full of snowbirds.

Although it is close to the Interstate it is surprisingly quiet, with little road noise.

I would recommend staying here if you want to explore the West part of Saguaro NP, Arizona-Sonora Museum and Old Tucson.

We stayed here in a Class C Motorhome.

Pretty nice for a gravel parking lot

At first glance, you might get turned off by this park because it's just a large gravel parking lot without shade. But it's actually nice. The owners are very friendly and take a lot of pains keeping the place clean and well-maintained. The sites are gravel and level and are wide enough to park toads side by side. Full hookups and decent wi-fi available, although no cable TV. Close to the interstate and some train tracks, but the road noise and the train noise isn't so bothersome. Overall, a great homebase for touring Tucson.

We stayed here in a 5th Wheel.
