Hello,
Our Outdoor Living Newsletter is one year old! This October we're celebrating our anniversary and Halloween all in the same month. How's that for exciting?
10 year old Henry and 12 year old Arthur know all about exciting; they traveled all 50 states in 50 weeks. We caught up with them and learned what happened on their trip. We also put together some facts about how to stay safe while hiking during hunting season, and how to safeguard yourself in the event of an RV emergency.
There are tons of trick or treat and Halloween parties going on at campgrounds throughout the nation, and we've selected some great ones for your entertainment and provided some tips to have the best time. If you're looking to have fun with your family, disc golf is a cheap and easy way of getting outdoors, staying healthy, and learning a new skill.
Did you know that most diesel engines on RVs can safely burn biodiesel fuel? We dug into the nitty gritty of bio diesel and found out that green RVing is possible! If that's not sweet, we don't know what is. Well, maybe our hot chocolate recipes are sweet.
We hope you have a scary time over Halloween.
Family road trip through the eyes of the children
In June 2008 the Bacon family set off to do what few families would dare to accomplish - visit all fifty states in fifty weeks in a forty foot RV. The family of four, which includes two boys, Henry 10 and Arthur 12, saved up for four years to make their dream a reality. While on the trip the boys were home schooled and learned geography first hand, associating states, capitals, and National Parks with memories. We caught up with the boys to find out what they liked about the trip, how they kept themselves occupied and what they've learned.

Hot chocolate, drink of RV kings and queens
No matter what your age, sipping on a warm mug of hot chocolate gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling. RVers are as vulnerable to the lures of hot chocolate as anyone else. However, being on the go, they may not always have the time to brew the perfect blend while on the road. Here are some recipes to make hot chocolate on the go.

RV cleaner and greener with biodiesel

How to camp safely during hunting season
Camping is a wonderful way to get outside, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy all that nature has to offer. But going on a camping trip, especially deep in the woods, is not without its risks during hunting season. With population increases the size of wilderness areas are decreasing, forcing hunters to share the woods with other outdoor enthusiasts. The unfortunate result is accidents. In some cases, campers and their dogs are mistaken for game and are shot. Fortunately, many of these accidents can be avoided. We show you how.
